streets of montreal

this was based on a photo i took of montreal, where i went last xmas. it was painted over an old painting that i didn't like, which gave this one cool textures.

people have commented on how they can actually feel like they were there, and how the textures add movement to it. i'm glad they also like the lights. oh and i fixed the car, which used to look like something mickey mouse would drive.

i like the grocery bag that's not there. but is.

oil on canvas. around 8-9 hours, i think. oils are slow.
